Here's one my sister made and I thought it was beautiful. She's really a much more talented stamper than I am! :) The "snowflakes" are buttons (backs cut off) that she found somewhere (J's in Phx I think...). She took this pic with her phone and sent it to me so not quite as clear as with my camera, but I think you'll get the idea.

Here's a fall card my Hostess Club / stamp camp ladies made a couple of months ago. For once, I was ahead of the game on the theme... (just behind on the upload) LOL! This sample shows some cinnamon stickles on the "cone" of the flower. My sister went home and did this to the one she made at camp, so I added it to mine, too.

Pumpkin Mambo Note

A hostess club card from a couple of months ago. This was originally going to be Razzleberry and Pumpkin but since my Razzleberry ribbon was on backorder, it got changed to Melon and Pumpkin. They say necessity is the mother of invention and in this case that would be true. Turned out just fine! :)

Petals in Cerise

Here's a quick card I made for a wedding shower for a co-worker. I was told the bride's colors were red and vanilla. Due to being in the middle of re-organizing/painting my craft room, all of my stamping "stuff" was piled high on the dining room table, a six-foot fold-up table and any other surface I could find to use, so I had to search through stacks of stamp sets to find one that would be appropiate to the occasion. I located one of my truly favorite (and sadly, retired) sets - Petal Prints along with Cerise d/p (also long since retired). I put this together quickly since I had procrastinated (of course!). The pink-looking ink is actually Real Red stamped off. Don'cha love how that works?! Even with limited access to supplies --> fabulous card (if I do say so myself...). LOL!

The good news is that I am finally starting to feel physically better - after two (or more) long years. Woohoo!!! Well, I tried to post this one with the other card, but all the words kept bunching up together and would't stay where I was trying to put them. I am really computer/blog challenged! Maybe when I retire (in 55 months, but who's counting... ME!!) I will be able to spend some time learning how to do all of this better. Until then, it will be what it will be. :)

This card was inspired by several on SplitcoastStampers. I thought the idea of using the petal as the "carrot" and the Baroque Motifs swirl stamp as the leafy part was so clever! This is my take on that theme...

I'm a dork!

So - looking back several months, it looks like I posted quite a few cards twice. Sorry about that! Just goes to show you that I have not been keeping up very well. But you already knew that, didn't ya?! LOL! I wish I could say I'll do better, but I pretty much go with the flow these days so sometimes the flow is with stamping, sometimes the flow is in my chair with a book, sometimes the flow is puttering online, and occasionally the flow is on home improvement or out in the yard taking care of things. So I'll keep plodding along as best I can and beg your indulgence til I get better at staying up with things. :)

This one and the next post are the last of the Easter cards I did last spring, so you won't have to worry about Easter in the fall!!

Or at least I think that's what they are in Native American lore. At any rate, I hadn't done a southwestern card in a really long time when I made this one last Christmas for part of my Mom's gift. Wow! Times flies when you don't blog very often!!! ROFL! Anyway, you can't see it from the pic, but the bear was embossed with either a tiger eye or coppery colored embossing powder (been so long I can't remember! I'm pathetic!). The rest is pretty self-explanatory...

There are several that I didn't get posted back at Easter time so you'll just have to be inspired for next year! LOL! I rarely do watercoloring cause I'm just not very good at it. And since I will probably never be as good as my fellow stamper Pat L, I usually don't attempt it (she is a master!). But this stamp caught my eye at a stamping convention and I had to have it - therefore, I had to watercolor. I'm reasonably pleased with the way it turned out... :)

love Baroque!

Baroque Motifs is another one of my fave sets. And I only used a wee bit of it on this card - on the piece right behind the flowers. The paper is some from one of those paper packs at M's and the swirls stamp from this set fit right in. A bit of stamping, assemble pieces and... VOILA! Card done! :)

Easter in July???

OK - I've heard of Christmas in July, but Easter? LOL! That's how behind I am. :) This was a card my Hostess Club/Stamp Campers made (obviously before Easter!). A little hard to tell from the scan, but the polka dots on the eggshell pieces have Stickles on them for a little added bling. I mean, Easter cards are supposed to be festive, right?!

This is a card that I made a while back for a masculine birthday. Those always seem to be the hardest for me. I'm much more comfortable with girly stuff. LOL! I mean really - you can't put any bling on a boy-card and you have to be really careful with ribbon. What else is there?! :)

This is just one of my favorite sets to stamp with. Made this card a while back for a variety of reasons (made several at one time). I'm not putting the name of the designer paper cause I can never remember the names of which package which piece came from when its been a while and the paper may be retired by now. Plus I'm just being lazy cause I don't wanna walk over to my stash and search through til I find the right ones. LOL! May is such a super busy month for me with birthdays, celebrations, graduations, etc. Had lots o' cards to do and was still babying my shoulder. Stamping put enough stress on it without adding more computer work (have to do that during the day at the office!). Anyway, 'nuff with the excuses. No doubt you can tell without me saying that it's been a while since I posted. I've been getting physical therapy for my shoulder so in an effort not to compromise the therapy, I've been strictly limiting my stamping and computer time. I spend most of my work day on a computer, so tried to give it a break when at home. Not my first choice, but since things are getting better I have to guess that something is working!! LOL! I'm gonna add back a little bit at a time and see how it goes... :)

My mom always needs cards and buys them from me (no, she won't take them unless she can pay for them!), so for part of her Christmas gift my sister and I each made six cards for her.
